Mr. Diring’s practice is devoted to patent prosecution and litigation matters involving highly technical and complex technology, particularly in the computer, semiconductor, communications, and electronics industries.  Mr. Diring’s practice includes counseling clients on patent acquisition and enforcement issues, preparing infringement and validity opinions, and analyzing prior art and technical data.

Mr. Diring has been involved in the prosecution of United States and foreign applications and counseling in a variety of technologies including: computer software, architecture, and networking; automated control systems; semiconductor process control; semiconductor devices; microprocessor architecture; telecommunications systems; telephone systems; wireless networking and telephony; database systems; business processes in various disciplines; medical devices; electronics/diagnostics testing systems; medical electronics and information systems; and motor control systems.  Mr. Diring has worked with a wide variety of companies, including Advanced Micro Devices, Zarlink, FMC Technologies, Lucent, Rockwell Automation, Compaq Computer, Intel, Sun Microsystems, Micron Technology, Steelcase, Rayovac, and General Electric.

Mr. Diring is a member of the Wisconsin bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.  He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
