Dr. Eich’s practice is devoted to patent prosecution matters involving chemical and biochemical technologies, including agricultural genetic engineering, polymers, genomics, therapeutics, recombinant DNA/proteins, bioprostheses, and others, as well as food additives and medical devices.


Dr. Eich’s technical background includes graduate research into reactions of nitric oxide with heme proteins, particularly myoglobin.  He was the first to discover the mechanism of NO dioxygenation of oxygenated myoglobin.  His research had potential relevance to bioperformance supplements, heme-protein based blood substitutes, and food storage and handling.
