LEGAL AND TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
Mr. Pyle is experienced in all aspects of intellectual property, including prosecution, litigation, and transactional matters involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and unfair competition both domestically and abroad, with a particular emphasis on domestic and foreign patent prosecution. His litigation experience has come at both the trial and appellate levels in federal courts, in state courts, and in inter partes proceedings in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. His transactional experience includes acquisition and licensing matters both domestically and abroad for patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Pyle was an intellectual property attorney at Arnold White & Durkee, P.C. (October 1996–January 1999), and before that at Vaden, Eickenroht & Thompson, L.L.P. (September 1989-October 1996).
 
Prior to law school, Mr. Pyle worked as an engineer, programmer, and a technical writer for Ford Aerospace and Communications Corporation and Lockheed Engineering and Management Services Company, now both a part of Lockheed Martin Corporation, in the space program at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
 
REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
Mr. Pyle experience encompasses a wide variety of technologies, including computer hardware and software design, microprocessor architectures, computer networks, missile guidance systems, semiconductor processing and fabrication, HID lamps, life support systems, vehicle air brake systems, and geophysical exploration. He has represented a diverse group of clients including industry, governmental, and academic institutions such as Lockheed Martin Corporation, Oceaneering International, Intel Corporation, Micron Electronics, Micron Technologies, Compaq Computer Corporation, The University of Texas System, and the University of Houston System.
 
ADMITTED
Mr. Pyle is admitted to the bars of the State of Texas and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is also admitted to practice in Texas state courts, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Federal and Fifth Circuits, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
