Mr. Rodgers focuses almost exclusively on patent litigation spanning a wide range of technologies, with cases including: feedlot technology, computer network performance management software, fixed-cutter drill bit technology; generation of dynamic content for websites, athletic shoe technology, microprocessors, LCD panel display technology, and other matters.  Mr. Rodgers also has experience in other areas of intellectual property and technical litigation, including matters involving copyright and trade secret claims covering sub-sea vehicle simulation software used for training in the oil and gas drilling industry and the defense of a multi-million dollar EPC contract dispute regarding the construction of a refinery.  Mr. Rodgers has also experienced success in pro bono representation, employing the Violence Against Women Act to take an abused mother and child from illegal resident status to legal permanent residents of the United States.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS & PUBLICATIONS

Mr. Rodgers has handled cases for companies such as BMC Software, O2 Micro International, Sabina (a joint venture of Shell, BASF, and Total Atofina), and ReedHycalog (a division of Grant Prideco), as well as several intellectual property holding companies.  Mr. Rodgers has also co-authored a chapter on Willful Infringement in the Patent Litigation Strategy Handbook as well as presented at continuing legal education seminars on a number of topics.

Mr. Rodgers is a member of the Texas Bar.  He is also admitted to practice in the Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of Texas and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
