- Mr. Jorgensen’s
practice focuses on intellectual property, with an emphasis on patent
litigation, particularly in the electrical and computer arts. He has
litigated patent infringement matters involving a variety of complex
technologies and products, including computer systems, microprocessors,
semiconductor memories, DVD encoding/decoding methods, software, automation
systems, internet-based methods, telecommunications systems, video and image
compression and coding, and semiconductor processes. In addition to his
litigation practice, Mr. Jorgensen devotes a portion of his practice to
patent and technology licensing, the preparation of infringement and
validity opinions, and client counseling.

- Mr. Jorgensen has
authored a number of publications in the intellectual property field, and
has been cited by the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. In recognition of
his legal accomplishments, Texas Monthly Magazine named him a
"Texas Rising Star" in 2005.
- Prior to entering
the practice of law, Mr. Jorgensen designed and developed professional audio
products as an engineer with Sony Professional Products Company (a division
of Sony Corporation).

- REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
- Mr. Jorgensen is
experienced in all aspects of patent and intellectual property litigation,
including litigation strategy, discovery, Markman hearings, trial
preparation, trial, and appeals. He has handled cases for clients such as
Hewlett-Packard Company, Ericsson, Inc., Crystal Semiconductor, Inc.,
Kimberly-Clark Corporation, National Semiconductor Corporation, ArvinMeritor,
Inc., ST Microelectronics, Inc., and Igloo Products, Inc. In addition to
his district court and appellate experience, Mr. Jorgensen has also
litigated matters before the International Trade Commission.

- Mr. Jorgensen is a member of the Texas State Bar. He
is admitted to practice in various federal district courts, the United
States Courts of Appeal for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of
Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Patent and Trademark
Office.
